Seek One knocks down a TN stud!!

I didn't mean to quote anything but the ones crying never kill good deer so they fire up the mob!
Pretty LIBERAL view of fair chase conditions.
The crying smh Just because you don't like doesn't mean you are correct.

No crying at all on my part. Killing pet deer just doesn't meet my standards of an ethical hunt. And, no stating that my views are "correct". But, they are my views, and I will freely express them as long as I can.

I just had some turkeys in my back yard continue feeding about 10 yds away while I was walking my lab. I guess I should consider killing one of them (in season) and doing a video for the fanboys?

Only if you will actually use a fan to call it.

Back when I hunted in Dickson I had a couple friends up there that said I could shoot the longbeards off their porch with a bow.
Some of their beards were literally dragging the ground when they were bent over a little !!!
Ain't gonna lie, it was tempting. :D

Just wasn't something I could do and be proud of.
Dunno if it would have even been legal.

Come on Ruger be a good sport and shoot a turkey off their front porch. It will make you famous.

I think when everything calms down we should all get together maybe in someone's neighborhood you know kind of like a meet and greet. We could all sit around and drink beer and BBQ and patch things up. Maybe share some hunting stories.

What Neighborhood??

That is another thing the fanboys are glossing over. The chance of LEGALLY killing and RETRIEVING some of these backyard monsters is, IMO, between slim and none.

To start, if they are being fed within a 250 yd circle of where you are hunting on that 1 acre lot, they aren't legal to take. In that type of environment, it is a high likelihood of that taking place.

And, anyone that has bow hunted very much knows that the likelihood of a deer dying on the 1 acre lot you have permission to hunt on is VERY slim with a bow. Once it leaves that lot, you would have to have permission from EVERY landowner you walk through to legally track and retrieve that deer. With peoples feelings about hunting their "pets", that would be hard to arrange ahead of time.

I have deer in the backyard on a frequent basis. They aren't quite as tame as the turkeys, but sure aren't the same as the deer you see on a true fair chase hunt.

But, for some, the end justifies the means.

Maybe why you see them retrieve them at dusk or night.

Y'all should form a club or even a band...."The High Horsemen" .

I dont keep a spreadsheet on member's likes and dislikes, but I bet 80% of the high horsemen dont like Luke Bryan and think Johnny Cash is the only real country music.

You would probably have me in the wrong column of your sheet. I like Luke and his music. I have sold him some fly rods. He is a really nice guy.

But, I do like Cash as well.

Most of us that you disagree with just have some strong opinions on the ethics surrounding the shooting of pet deer in locations where the legality is questionable.
