Went scouting this afternoon and got my cameras I have had out. Well, I was walking down a trail back to my truck and ran into this "kid" maybe 18-19 years old standing off the trail. When he seen me he yelled hey man this is my spot! As I looked at him like he was crazy and told him buddy you know this is public land right no one has a "spot". Then he comes back and says we'll this is mine I better not catch you back over here. The kid was standing beside a freaking trail in the middle of some thick tember that you can't see maybe 5' with his vortex binoculars.😂😂😂 I can't stand people like that. So, to top it off I get back home start looking at my cameras and sure enough there he is on me grabbing my camera and turning it around on the tree. What the heck…. 😂😂😂

Is it a good spot? If you can part with it-take an antler and shred up some large but believable trees. Post some trail cam pics of a big buck on Facebook. Put topo and aerial maps requesting help on how to hunt it. It ruins the spot for a d-bag and sends other d-bags in with him
The spot he was at is literally like 50 foot from the parking lot right of the main trail😂

You ever see someone walking through the woods and they see you? Hide behind a tree. It freaks people out. Lol.
I had a guy screaming one time "is somebody there?"
After about 2 mins I just walked to the next tree and stood behind it. I never turned my head his way but I could see he was still standing there
Then he screamed "WTF?"
I waited another few mins then stepped to the next tree. Sure enough he was still there.
Then he screams "f this!" And I watched as he practically hurt himself running towards the parking lot! I almost died laughing. My wife says I have a sick sense of humor, I find myself hilarious!

Night before opening day, put a deer decoy 100 yards away from him.
That should keep him busy.
Or find another place.
Goofy people are exhausting.

Thats hilarious

Just think he has probably got cameras up also. Now he has claimed the area for himself. I have zero tolerance for it. But that's how people get on public land. That's why we all say no stands left behind and no cameras on public. Not because we have something against them. It's because lots of people claim these areas as there's. Just because of the stands and cameras they leave out. Depending on how big the area is. Dictates wether you can just go somewhere else. Some of us don't have many options.

Exactly. I don't hunt public land, but if I did, I would be in favor of the "no stands, no cameras" thing. All they do is cause disputes.

I won't mess with another persons camera other then smile and wave. Some states allow stands but they become first come first serve. If I find a stand I typically back of a couple yards to hang my climber. Figure deer will be watching and wind checking that stand and I'll have the advantage anyway. Plus it's fun to wave at the folks when they come the "their area".

I'd try it but sure enough somebody would shoot me.

It wasn't during season. I was out scouting.
Only been shot at one time. That was on Yanahili. Little old man shot at me from about 300 yards with his trusty 30/30 because he seen the bamboo moving when I was coming out of the river bottom.
