I'm doing same in Ohio. Cool north wind is kinda getting to me. Not seeing much action doesn't help.

As I'm sitting here in the hills of east Ky I have my target buck in Tn, that I have hunted for a month straight, is in a scrape right now in front of my camera….this buck is the most frustrating animal I've ever hunted!

Sounds like how my luck often goes. Maybe he will stick around until after you get back to TN.

This morning had a spike and button head convention going on...before this I did see an 8pt...short tines with decent mass...maybe 3½ year old...couldnt get clear picture of him...he stayed inside edge of thicket.

That sucks. Sounds on par for me too. I got here Monday afternoon and was in stand by 3:30pm. This guy walks under another stand in the next hollow over. I had a 50/50 coin toss on which spot to hunt and chose wrong. Didn't see a thing.

This afternoon around 3:30 this 4pt was cruising through....he and I both are watching this thicket closely.

My son and I watched the same doe and her fawn the entire afternoon until dark. They fed the entire 2+ hours we were in the stand and were still feeding when we got down. They did shift from grazing to acorns, then back to grass.

Heavy frost on the ground here in the eastern Ky hills. Thank you Lord for another beautiful morning and it's even better with my lil bro here with me!

One two shot series a good ways off, and one shot pretty close so far. I haven't seen a single deer yet this morning, squirrels aren't even moving. Heard coyotes on the property east of me just before walking out and hoped they would slip up and come through. What light wind there is is in my face. Second guessing my stand choice now though and thinking I should have sat down in the woods.

So far one doe feeding alone and this 8pt...busted up missing a G2...beautiful morning.

I know it's not a stand, family is here and had to get the turkey on the smoker, but I did get to see a couple.

Yea and it's a lot of work and I ran a fever after sanding them down both times I did it. Ain't worth the trouble
